Has Kapil Sharma really slashed his fee for 'The Kapil Sharma Show'? Here's what Krushna Abhishek has to say...Author : AZIndia News Desk
Jan 6 (AZINS) Kapil Sharma finally made his much awaited dhamakedaar comeback on Indian Television with the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show. While his attempt at trying hands at something different with the game show Family Time With Kapil Sharma fell flat on its fate, With TKSS, Kapil seems to be back at doing what he does best and what comes naturally to him.
Recently, a report on Dainik Bhaskar suggested that Kapil Sharma has slashed down his fee for the season 2 of TKSS and the reason he had to do so is reported to be the losses that the show is apparently incurring. While Kapil used to charge approx Rs 60-70 lakh per episode earlier, for the latest season of his show, he's reportedly charging Rs 17-20 lakh. Not just Kapil Sharma, his colleagues Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek too are said to be making about Rs 10-12 lakh per episode.
The good folks at BollywoodLife got in touch with Krushna and quizzed him about the rumours of the pay cut. Here's what the comedian told the portal, "These pay cut rumours are false. We are getting our stipulated amount. We are extremely happy working together. Anyways, money is secondary. No one can beat the fact that The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest comedy show in the country."
The report also added that Krushna further said that the question of cost-cutting doesn't arise as Salman Khan is a very generous producer. The report also quoted a source from the channel as saying, "Only time will tell if the second season is a success. We are getting enough and more sponsorship for the show till now. The response on social media was also good. The producers are not cutting costs at any levels. The success or failure will be evident after we get the first TRPs."
