Exes Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor to reunite onscreen for a Luv Ranjan film?Jan 16 (AZINS) Deepika Padukone may have walked out of Ranveer Singh's '83' and Aamir Khan's 'Mahabharata' but this year we might get to see her reuniting with her ex Ranbir Kapoor on screen together.

Speculations are rife that Ranbir and Deepika are all set to come together for Luv Ranjan's next. Deepika is the 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' director's first choice. However, she hasn't yet given her nod to the project. Ajay Devgn may also star in the film but his participation still remains unclear considering his stand on the entire #MeToo controversy.

When Ranjan was accused of sexual harassment by an actress, Ajay had tweeted: "I'm disturbed by all the happenings with regards to #MeToo. My company and I believe in providing women with utmost respect and safety. If anyone has wronged even a single woman, neither ADF [Ajay Devgn Films] nor I will stand for it."

Luv Ranjan had however denied all the allegations. “It's so absurd that I don't know what to say except that I deny it. I don't know how to react to an anonymous allegation beyond this and am willing to face any legitimate inquiry," he told a daily.

As per an insider, Ajay is very much on board. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “In spite of two solid male stars, Ranjan’s film has a terrific role for the female lead. Deepika is the first choice and there’s no reason why she would turn down a plum role.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s 'Tamasha'.
