Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya likely to get married to actor-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi on Feb 11Jan 23 (AZINS) Rajinikanth's younger daughter and director of 'Velaiilla Pattadhari 2' or 'VIP 2', Soundarya is reportedly all set to marry industrialist turned actor Vishagan Vanangamudi on Febraury 11, this year. The bride-to-be is said to be busy getting her trousseau together, and was recently spotted at a well-known sari store, making her sartorial selections.

As per various regional news channels, their pre-wedding festivities will begin from February 9 with a puja ceremony which will be held at Rajinikanth's Chennai house in Poes Garden.

Soundarya’s engagement ceremony, last year was a private, family-only affair. However, it's being said that the wedding will take place on a large scale at a plush hotel in MRC Nagar in Chennai after a haldi ceremony and a grand sangeet function. Soundarya's elder sister Aishwarya R Dhanush ( married to actor Dhanush) is personally taking care of all the invitations and arrangements.

A close source to both Soundarya and Vishagan had earlier told Deccan Chronicle, "It is not a love marriage. Soundarya and Vishagan have not known each other before and it was the groom’s aunt who initiated the alliance. And when the Rajini’s family gave the green signal, Soundarya met Vishagan at a coffee shop for a casual conversation.”

This will be both Soundarya and Vishagan Vanangamudi's second marriage. Soundary was earlier married to businessman R Ashwin (2010 - 2017). They are parents to three-years-old Ved. Vishagan, on the other hand, was married to magazine editor Kanikha Kumaran.

Vishagan is the owner of a pharmaceutical company and is also an actor. He was last seen playing a pivotal role in Vanjagar Ulagam, which released last year. Soundarya has directed her dad in 'Kochadaiyaan' and was instrumental in getting the 'Kabali' project rolling. She also wielded the megaphone for her brother-in-law Dhanush’s flick 'VIP2'.
