Exclusive: 'F2 – Fun & Frustration' producer Dil Raju confirms sequel, says 'F3' likely to release in 2021Jan 31 (AZINS) After seeing a few setbacks at the box office in the year 2018, 2019 started off on a positive note for producer Dil Raju. 'F2 – Fun & Frustration', that hit the screens just in time for the Sankranti season, proved to be a blockbuster at the box office, raking in some good moolah. The film that released amidst tough competition stood out as the winner at the Telugu box office.

And for a while now, there has been a buzz that the film is set to have a sequel, which will eventually be developed like the 'Housefull' or 'Golmaal' series in Bollywood. It was being reported that director Anil Ravipudi who helmed 'F2' has even held discussions with producer Dil Raju about the same.

Turns out there’s absolute truth to the news. Speaking about the same, Raju confirmed, “Yes, we are planning to make a sequel titled 'F3' soon. I am so glad that 'F2' worked out so well and managed to reach out to the audiences of all strata because this gives us an opportunity to create more films on these lines.”

Revealing that the same cast could be a part of the next film, Raju shared, “We are most likely to have the same cast. But yes, we had two male leads in 'F2' and are likely to have another actor joining the cast.” When asked if actor Ravi Teja will be joining the cast, the producer chose to not answer. However, he did share that talks are on to release the film for Sankranti 2021, depending on the cast and crew’s availability in between.

Starring Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Rajendra Prasad, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen as the leads, 'F2' is a comedy-drama that has been setting the Telugu box office on fire. Made at a budget of less than Rs 30 crore, the film has raked in over Rs 120 crore at the BO. In the US alone, the film managed to collect over $ 2 million.
