Feb 27 (AZINS) Superstar Mahesh Babu is on a roll and that surely is visible since he is grabbing the eyeballs for reasons more than one. While it was first his venture into the digital arena that got talked about, now what is getting all the attention is the big news that he’s set to produce a Hindi-Telugu bilingual, marking his entry into Hindi cinema.
The venture, which was announced on Wednesday, will be marking the entry of India’s leading film studio Sony Pictures India into South Indian cinema with Telugu as their choice of language for the first production. To star actor Adivi Sesh in the lead, the film will be directed by Sashikiran Tikka who had helmed his earlier film Goodachari that turned out to be superhit at the ticket windows.
To be Sesh’s first film in Hindi, the bilingual film will be based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The news of this collaboration has been doing the rounds for a while now but an official confirmation along with the first look was unveiled only on Wednesday.
The film will be co-produced by Adivi Entertainment a long with A+S Movies. The film will go on to sets this summer and is likely to have a release in 2020. The project will be handled by Namrata Shirodkar who is set to take the major calls.
