Will Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Brahmastra' be India's answer to 'Thor'?Mar 7 (AZINS) Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra has just come into news and it has already piqued our curiousity. The movie's trailer which was out recently, hints at it being majorly inspired by the Hollywood movie Marvel's superhero 'Thor'.

In the trailer we hear Amitabh Bachchan's voiceover. He talks about the 'Brahmastra' and solves Ranbir Kapoor's doubts about how the actor is the only person who can see the 'Brahmastra' - three pieces which combine together to form a powerful weapon. Upon hearing this, Big B educates Ranbir that the 'Brahmastra' is the most powerful weapon in the world, and if Ranbir can see this weapon, then he is connected to it too.

Interestingly, the story of 'Thor' is on similar lines. 'Thor' is the only person who can fix his hammer. He is the only one who can lift the powerful hammer - both Mjolnir and the latest Stormbreaker (from Avengers: Infinity War). 'Thor' can pick up the weapon only when the universe feels he is worthy of it.

Looking at the similar kind of plotlines, will it be safe to say that Brahmastra, especially Ranbir Kapoor's character Shiva, might just be India's answer to the Marvel hero 'Thor'? Brahmastra however is not the first to explore the superhero genre in India. Hrithik Roshan is super successful as the superhero Krissh, which has been remotely inspired by Batman. Shah Rukh Khan too tried his hand in the genre with Ra.One.

Meanwhile Mouni Roy, who made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar's Gold, and is part of John Abraham's Romeo Akbar Walter too, plays a pivotal role in this film too. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie is a trilogy. The first installment of this film is expected to release in December, during Christmas, this year.
