Pawan Kalyan's contesting constituencies announced; fans go into a tizzyMar 20 (AZINS) Ever since Pawan Kalyan announced his entry into politics ahead of the 2014 elections, there has been great anticipation surrounding his every political move. The Telugu star has been actively campaigning his party manifestos for a long time now and it was on Tuesday that his contesting constituencies were finally announced as Bhimavaram and Gajuvaka in the respective districts of East Godavari and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier in the day, the actor took to Twitter to announce that a decision was being made on his contesting constituencies by the General Body of his Janasena Party.

Later in the day, an official announcement was made by the party with regard to the actor’s constituencies. Interestingly, it was revealed that a survey was conducted across the state to evaluate which locations would be ideal for the actor to contest from since this is the first time he would be contesting.

Apparently, names of towns like Tirupati, Anantapura, Pithapuram, Rajanagaram, Pendurthi and Ichapuram also stood at the top in the survey along with the two finalized locations. But the experts who were guiding the process finally suggested Bhimavaram and Pithapuram as the locations, to which Pawan Kalyan immediately approved.

The Twitterati seemed quite excited by the announcement as seen through various posts expressing the same. Congratulatory messages poured in for the actor with fans offering best wishes. It is to be seen how he fares at the polls.

His brother Megastar Chiranjeevi also had contested from two locations – his native Palacole and Tirupati – when he made his debut into politics in 2009 with the now defunct political party the Praja Rajyam Party. Eventually, he merged into the Congress Party. It is to be seen how things work for the younger brother who is being considered a force to reckon with in the political arena.
