Nana Patekar on board for Trivikram Srinivas - Allu Arjun film?Author : AZIndia News Desk
Mar 27 (AZINS) When Nana Patekar made his South Indian film debut with Rajinikanth’s Kaala, there was a great deal of curiosity to see how his role would pan out. Even as he got appreciation for the character, it looks like he managed to attract another filmmaker across the border. After the Tamil film worked out well, Telugu filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas has initiated talks with the Bollywood actor to star in his next with actor Allu Arjun.
“Trivikram was keen to bring in a new face to the Telugu audiences and he considered several names from film industries across the country. After a great deal of thought, he felt that Nana would be perfect for the role. Soon, talks have been initiated and an official announcement will be made if things work out,” shares a source in the know.
With the market of Telugu films getting better by the day in the national market, raking in huge moolah in the form of dubbing rights, it seems logical to take pan-Indian stars to add more value to the film. “Allu Arjun’s films are one of the most sought after in the national market, fetching good rates in satellite rights and Hindi dubbing rights which add great value in profits for producers. The duo is teaming up for the third time and both their earlier collaborations were successful and so this is being looked at as a high value film,” shares a source in the know.
Initially, buzz was that the film would be a remake of Hindi superhit film Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety. However, it looks like things have taken a turn and the actor-director duo are now going to work on the remake of Hollywood fantasy romance flick, Invention of Lying.
