'Kalank' Title Track: Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt's forbidden love story is amped up by Arijit Singh's soulful voiceAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mar 30 (AZINS) After a long wait and a lot of teasing, the makers of Kalank have finally unveiled the title track of their film. Karan Johar announced that the song faces a delay of a day because they want to make the number more 'beautiful' and we do not have any complaints with the visuals.
The song is titled 'Kalank Nahi Ishq Hai' and even though it primarily focuses on Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan aka Roop-Zafar's love story, the song also shows us glimpses of Sonakshi Sinha-Aditya Roy Kapur aka Satya Chaudhry-Dev Chaudhry and Madhuri Dixit Nene-Sanjay Dutt alias Bahaar Begum-Balraj Chaudhry's love story.
The song is written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Arijit Singh's soulful voice has spoilt us even in this song. For the uninitiated, both Arijit and Aditya Roy Kapur's careers skyrocketed post Arijit Singh's enriching song 'Tum Hi Ho' from Aashiqui 2. 'Kalank' title song however has been composed by Pritam.
'Kalank' title track is the third song which has been unveiled from the film post 'Ghar More Pardesiya' and 'First Class'. Both the previous tracks were dance number. While 'Ghar More Pardesiya' saw Alia Bhatt's Kathak dance, 'First Class' was about Varun Dhawan-Kiara Advani's 'nazaakhat'.
Directed by 2 States helmer Abhishek Varman, the movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. The epic drama, based in 1940s, is slated to release on April 17.
