April 17 (AZINS) Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan landed in China on Wednesday to promote his 2018 film 'Zero', which is set for release in the neighbouring country. The actor is in China to attend 9th Beijing International Film Festival, which comes to an end with his film.
Videos from Shah Rukh’s arrival in Beijing are now all over the internet. They show him getting mobbed by fans.
Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to express his gratitude and wrote, "What a warm and happy welcome here in China by SRK UNIVERSE China. Thx for the gifts, the flowers and the kisses. I am Red all over!!!
In a couple of videos posted by the actor’s fan page, fans can be seen cheering for the actor.
Legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s classic Pather Panchali and Khan’s last release 'Zero' are among the five Indian films that have been listed to be screened during the event.
'Zero' director Aanand L Rai had earlier said in a statement , "I'm so happy that Zero has been selected as the closing film at the Beijing International Film Festival. The film is very special to us and this news is very encouraging. I hope the audience there enjoys the film."
Along with filmmaker Kabir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan will will be taking part in China-India Film Cooperation Dialogue, according to the brochure circulated by BIFF. A daily newspaper reports that the dialogue segment is an effort to forge ways for the development of Chinese and Indian films as well as creation of opportunities to strengthen film cooperation between the two countries. Chinese director and screenwriter Muye Wen will also be a part of the panel. BIFF will have a section called India Week this year.
