'Maharshi' wrap up party: Mahesh Babu and team celebrate by relishing a fruit cakeApril 18 (AZINS) Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi' was in news some time back. The makers released a teaser of the movie, which featured Mahesh Babu as businessman Rishi Kumar. The actor will reportedly don five different avatars in the film.

Despite the teaser's release, 'Maharshi' has wrapped up only now. In fact Mahesh Babu shared an update of the same with a photo of a fruit cake. He captioned the photo as, "With this... It's a wrap!!! See you in the cinemas on May 9th #Maharshi #MaharshionMay9th"

The movie, produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema, went on floors last year in June. Major portions of the film have been shot in USA. The movie was expected to release on April 25, however it had to be postponed reportedly due to post-production work.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Allari Naresh and Meenakshi Dixit in crucial roles. The teaser of this action-drama film released after a teaser photo of Pooja, Mahesh Babu and Allai Naresh. The makers had then revealed the first song of the film titled 'Nuvve Samastham'.

Interestingly the movie clashes with Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal starrer 'Student Of The Year 2', which is a sequel to Karan Johar's movie 'Student Of The Year'. While Tiger and Aditya have already been in Bollywood long enough, Tara and Ananya would make their debut with the film which is directed by Punit Malhotra.
