Young Brazilian model dies after collapsing on rampwalk at Sao Paulo Fashion WeekApril 28 (AZINS) 26-year-old Brazilian model Tales Soares died on Saturday after collapsing on the ramp walk during a fashion show on the last day of the Sao Paulo Fashion week. Videos and photos showing the model lying face down on the catwalk are all over the internet.

He was modelling for fashion brand Ocksa when he tragically collapsed on the stage. He fell while turning to leave the runway. Medics immediately attended to him in front of horrified onlookers, according to local media reports.

Daily Folha de S. Paulo reported that people in the crowd first thought that Soares tripped on his shoelace and fell.

“SPFW has just received the news of the death of model Tales Soares, who suddenly took ill during the Ocksa show,” the organization said in a statement, without giving a cause of death.

He was rushed to the nearest hospital but sadly couldn't be saved and was later pronounced dead. The show's organisers wrote on Instagram, "May God welcome you with open arms!"

“We offer our sincere condolences to Tales’ family,” SPFW said, while label Ocksa said on Instagram its entire team was “shocked” by the death of Soares, who was signed to Base MGT modelling agency.
