Harleen Sethi feels it's unfair to tag her as Vicky Kaushal's ex, says 'It's good' that their relationship endedAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
April 30 (AZINS) Actor-dancer Harleen Sethi has opened up about her breakup with Bollywood's rising star Vicky Kaushal and has said that it's good that it happened.
In an interview to Pinkvilla, Harleen opened up about the gossip surrounding her relationship with Vicky and said, “Honestly, it did not bother me but it did bother my family and friends. As an individual, we all have our own identities. Just because I was associated with a movie star and I haven’t done a movie yet, doesn’t make me any less. I still love myself. And I would love to be known as Harleen Sethi. I think it will be unfair to call someone else my ex-boyfriend, right? I am nobody’s ex or current or even future girlfriend. I am Harleen Sethi.”
Harleen featured in the web series 'Broken But Beautiful' opposite 'Chhapaak' actor Vikrant Massey and is now all set to return with its second season. On being asked if the breakup affected her performance on the show, she said, “I think for an actor it is essential to experience all sort of emotions in real life. In a way, it is good that what happened, happened.”
Earlier, Harleen had penned an empowering poem, which was seen as a confirmation on their split.
She wrote, “From where I started. To where I’ve come. I didn’t design this path. His will was welcome. Fearlessly hustling. Energetic and bustling. I found who I was. A small fish in a big pond. I enjoyed the eccentricities. Performances and anxieties. Feeling alive everyday. Making a mark in my own way. Link ups don’t build me. Breakups don’t break me. Wins don’t fill me. Failures don’t kill me. I feel complete. I feel sufficient. I have my own swag, I am my own tag #iammyowntag #harleensethi.”
Vicky confirmed their breakup at the HT India’s Most Stylish awards. He said, "Hanji ekdum single. Ye dekho ekdum akela." When the interviewer again insisted to confirm if he is telling the truth, the actor said, "Single. Ekdum."
