Did you know 'Student of the Year 2' actor Tara Sutaria auditioned for Will Smith starrer 'Aladdin'? Here's the videoMay 3 (AZINS) Only a week left for Student of the Year 2 to hit the screens. The film stars Tiger Shroff along with debutantes Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. They all are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the films and are indulged in city tours currently. During the promotions, Tiger, Tara and Ananya interacted with the media and spoke at length about the film, their other projects and more.

While talking to in.com, Tara made a revelation about auditioning for the upcoming live-action remake of Aladdin for the role of Jasmine. Talking about the same, the newcomer stated to the entertainment portal, "I was actually supposed to do another film with Will Smith a year before we started Student of the Year 2 in London. I was working on this film Aladdin, which is, in fact, releasing a week after SOTY. So, I was meant to play Jasmine in that film. We would have worked together on that film and it is so ironic that I didn’t end up doing that film but I am doing this and he actually came here and we ended up working on this."

Meanwhile, talking about Student of the Year 2, the film is directed by Punit Malhotra and co-produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. It is slated to release on May 10, 2019.
