May 11 (AZINS) From the time, Game of Thrones season eight, Maisie Williams character Arya Stark has been winning hearts all over again. The moment she brought an end to the Night King and his Whitewalkers, she has been declared a hero on social media. Many on the show look up to her and off screen, Maisie wanted to become a role model for young girls like her. However, the actor feels she failed to do so.
Talking about the same, Maisie stated, "I’ve definitely said things I regret and have done things I regret, and I haven’t been the best role model at certain times." On being quizzed about role models in her life, Maisie replied, "When I started going to award shows where you see stars wall to wall, it’s a surreal experience. But when you see them having a cigarette or b****ing about someone you’re like, ‘oh you’re not how I thought you were."
Maisie went on to say how the perception of the role model has changed for her over time. She concluded by saying, "There’s no worse role model than not being genuine. Just do you and that’s what girls should look up to. It takes the pressure off I think. That makes it sound like there wasn’t a whole journey to get there - but for a long time I did play a character."
Game of Thrones season eight which airs on Star World is nearing its end soo. The show is on its last season and only two epic episodes are left.
