May 18 (AZINS) Sonam K Ahuja and Dulquer Salmaan starrer The Zoya Factor was initially planned to release on April 5, 2019. In the film based on the novel of the same name by Anuja Chauhan, DQ will be seen playing the role of the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, while Sonam will be seen as an executive in an advertising agency. A couple of months back, the makers had announced the new release date which was June 14, 2019.
Well looks like, The Zoya Factor might not be releasing in the month of June. As per reports in Mid Day, the makers of Sonam and Dulquer's film is pushing the release date to September due to the upcoming World Cup 2019. Talking about the same, a source stated to the tabloid, "One of the reasons the film is being postponed is because there is post-production work left. But the driving factor here is the timing."
The source added, "While the makers earlier thought it would be wise to release the film amidst the World Cup fever, they now feel that it may not be the most lucrative period in terms of box-office business. So, they are eyeing an early September release. The final date is yet to be zeroed in. The trailer will be launched by July-end."
The Zoya Factor is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty Deora and Aarti Shetty. Apart from Sonam and Dulquer, the film also stars Sanjay Kapoor in a pivotal role.
