May 19 (AZINS) Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De hit the screens on Friday. The film had paid previews on Thursday as well. However, the collections on the opening day were less despite opening to good reviews. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the rom-com made about Rs 10.41 crore jointly on Thursday and Friday. He tweeted, "#DeDePyaarDe picked up towards evening after a dull start... Occupancy was higher in evening/night shows... Strong reports should ensure a turnaround on Day 2 and 3... Now, the collections for Saturday are out and it has shown a huge jump. The film minted Rs 13.39 crore and talking about the same, Taran tweeted, "#DeDePyaarDe jumps on Day 2... Strong word of mouth has come into play... Metros rocking... Tier-2 cities and mass circuits show upward trend... Should score big on Day 3... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews], Sat 13.39 cr. De De Pyaar De has been produced by Luv Ranjan, who is best known for directing films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Directed by Akiv Ali, the film also stars Alok Nath, Javed Jaaferi and Jimmy Sheirgill in key roles.

Going by the reviews, people have been applauding Tabu for her incredible performance in the film. Interestingly, Ajay plays his own age in the film.
