Box Office Report: 'Men In Black: International' has great start over Hindi film releases, 'Bharat' mints Rs 176 crore
June 15 (AZINS) Bharat, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover in lead roles, has witnessed its second Friday collections. Like last Friday, the second week also proved to be positive for the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, which has been receiving good word-of-mouth from the public.

Even though Bharat had great opening (Rs 41.75 crore) and was the second-highest opening Bollywood film after Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan, the Box Office collections have fallen to a great extent. The total collection of the film however is not a disaster yet. The movie, which released on the occasion of Eid, has managed to cross Rs. 175 crore mark 10 days after its release.

Bharat is the movie which minted double digit numbers over the weekends and managed to cross Rs. 150-crore mark by Monday. The collections of the film however dropped after Monday and it has been minting money only in single digits ever since. Box Office India goes on to report that the movie collected Rs. 3.75 crore on second Friday, which is a good result when compared to the usual drop of 30-40% in such big-budget movies.

Here, take a look at the total collections till date:

Week 1 (extended week - 9 days):

Wednesday - Rs 41.75 crore approx

Thursday - Rs 30 crore approx

Friday - Rs 21.25 crore approx

Saturday - Rs 25 crore approx

Sunday - Rs 26 crore approx

Monday - Rs 9 crore approx

Tuesday - Rs 7.75 crore approx

Wednesday - Rs 6.25 crore approx

Thursday - Rs 5.25 crore approx

TOTAL - Rs 172.50 crore approx

Week 2:

Friday - Rs 3.75 crore approx

TOTAL - Rs 176.25 crore approx

Sunday will mark a major day for the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer. India vs Pakistan World Cup match could affect the number of bookings for the film. It is D-Day for the makers since sunday will prove whether Bharat would be termed as semi-hit or hit. If the movie collects well on the last day of the week, it can be easily declared a hit, but otherwise the movie would struggle to collect over working days and might end up being semi-hit.

Meanwhile Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson's Men In Black: International released in India on June 14 along with five Hindi movies namely Game Over, Khamoshi, Khel Khallas, Kissebaaz and Rescue. The jodi, part of Thor's world, was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Interestingly despite the Hindi movie releases, MIB: International has performed well in Indian markets, almost as close as the collections of Bharat.

Taapsee Pannu starrer Game Over managed to mint only Rs. 50-60 lakhs, while Prabhudheva-Tamannaah Bhatia's Khamoshi first day collections stopped at Rs. 10 lakhs. Men In Black: International, on the other hand, took the cake by collecting around Rs. 2.75 crore on day uno. The film most definitely opened better than X-Men: Dark Phoenix collections from last week, and looks promising despite World Cup matches.
