Box Office Report Day 2: 'Game Over' takes the cake, 'Men In Black: International' shows little growth, 'Khamoshi' tanks
June 16 (AZINS) June 14 saw releases of as many as five Hindi films. Game Over, Khamoshi, Khel Khallas, Kissebaaz and Rescue hit the theatre screens, but could not stand much of a chance in front of the Hollywood movie Men In Black: International.

That however was the case on first day of the release. The second day actually marked the position for each film. Being a weekend (Saturday), most movies had higher collection than Friday. While some of the movie collections doubled, the other saw minimal growth. Surprisingly Men In Black: International, which performed well in theatres on the day of release, falls in the second category.

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson's Men In Black: International minted around Rs. 3 crore on its release day and the numbers rose to Rs. 3.5 crore approx on Saturday. The movie stands at total of Rs. 6.5 crore. Meanwhile the Hindi movies, which performed poorly on the first day, gained almost double the collections on second day.

Taapsee Pannu starrer Game Over, which managed to mint only Rs. 65 lakhs on day 1, doubled up its collections on Saturday with Rs. 1.25 crore. This made the total of the movie up to Rs. 1.90 crore in two days. Prabhudheva-Tamannaah Bhatia's Khamoshi first day collections stopped at Rs. 8 lakhs and grew up to Rs. 12 lakhs. The total collection of the film is merely Rs. 20 lakhs.

The movie stood competition from Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer Bharat. Although Bharat too has not been performing exceedingly well, it has crossed Rs. 180 crore mark on Saturday. The ongoing World Cup 2019 has majorly affected the collections of these movie releases. They are expected to get affected further since India vs Pakistan match could keep indians glued to the Television rather than visiting cinema halls.
