Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2019: Zoya Akhtar to screen Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Gully Boy'
June 27 (AZINS) From August 8, 2019, to August 17, 2019, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will be held. This time the chief guest at the prestigious festival is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Sharing his excitement, the superstar had said, "I’m honoured and delighted to accept the invitation from the Victorian government and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne to open their festival as their chief guest. The industry of our magnitude and diversity deserves to be celebrated with great passion and fervour, which is what the festival embodies."

Now, one of the hit films of 2019 is all set to be screened at IFFM 2019. Yes, we are talking about Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar. This is the tenth year of the festival and the talented filmmaker will be screening her film for the Australian fans. Moreover, Zoya will also be a part of the panel discussion during the festival.

When asked about screening Gully Boy at IFFM 2019, Zoya said, "It's always great to see Indian cinema travelling and transcending across borders. As a filmmaker, it’s a very rewarding experience and more than that, it’s extremely thrilling to see a celebration of Indian films. I’m ecstatic to be invited and to be a part of IFFM 2019 in Melbourne which is a melting pot of cultures. There’s a huge Indian community in Australia and I’m looking forward to taking Gully Boy to Australia for a special screening and extending a discuss on cinema with Australian audiences."
