June 28 (AZINS) Siddhant Chaturvedi aka Gully Boy's MC Sher undoubtedly was one of the most powerful characters we witnessed this year. After his role, the actor has been approached for various movies and one of them happened to be Karan Johar's Dostana 2.

The sequel to Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra-John Abraham starrer was announced on Wednesday, followed by an announcement that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor would star in the movie. Along with Kartik and Janhvi, the makers also announced that a fresh face would be introduced with the movie.

However that was not always the case. According to a report on BollywoodLife, Siddhant Chaturvedi, who gave his power-packed performance in Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt-Kalki Koechlin-Vijay Verma starrer Gully Boy earlier this year, was approached for the role. The report however claims that he denied the offer since he is not open to doing two-hero projects.

Not only Siddhant, rumours also stated that Rajkummar Rao was going to be roped in for the film, before the official announcement came along. Siddhant, on the other hand, was the voice to Chris Hemsworth in the Hindi version of Men In Black: International.
