'Mission Mangal' trailer: Akshay Kumar inspires Sonakshi, Vidya, Taapsee, Kirti, Nithya to reach for MarsAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
July 18 (AZINS) Mission Mangal has been promoting its movie quite interestingly. Ever since the first poster released, it had shown us Akshay Kumar on one side while the leading ladies of the film - Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menon were positioned on the other side.
Although that poster could signify a lot of things, the trailer most definitely abides every character together. Vidya Balan provides Akshay Kumar with an idea, and he goes ahead in executing it, but not without the help of our leading ladies. The idea, of course, is a mission to Mars.
Akshay's character is well-aware that India does not have the resources for the mission. Despite all kinds of difficulties, right from onetary matters to bringing the right individuals as a team, the journey towards this mission is exciting and still lying on a thin rope.
With the bare minimum, the whole team prepares for the journey, and their mission, which appeared to be 'impossible' and 'had 1% chance' was completed successfully by the end of the trailer. It is quite a pleasant surprise to see movies inspiring audiences. Mission Mangal trailer comes at a time when Super 30 is already turning an inspiration for many kids.
What hit me hard however was the scene where the whole team rejoices in their win and Akshay Kumar stands behind the women, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen, letting them take credit and media coverage. It is unusual to see men give credit to women in their film, but Mission Mangal seems to be reinstating the concept of 'women empowerment'.
Sonakshi Sinha is a woman who chases her dreams. Meanwhile Taapsee has given up on her dream post wedding. Vidya Balan is passionate to explore beyond her work culture, and Nithya Menon is nervous and unsure about it. Kirti Kulhari's character is still not very clear, but her assurance towards the end might be hint that she is one of the strongest characters from the team right after Sonakshi, Vidya and Taapsee.
The trailer also features Sharman Joshi who is involved in trying to correct his 'mangal dasha' (major period of Mars, which is believed to have major effects on a person's life). He literally breaks a sweat when asked to help in 'Mission Mangal' (journey of Mars).
Also featuring H. R. Dattatrey, Mission Mangal is directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Production and Fox Star Studio. The much-awaited film is slated to release on August 15, 2019. Akshay will thus once again face a clash with John Abraham at the Box Office since Batla House also releases on the same day.
