July 20 (AZINS) Esha Gupta had recently accused a hotelier of making her feel uncomforable when she was out partying with her friends. The actress claimed that despite having bodyguards, she felt unsafe because of the way the hotelier 'raped her with his eyes'.

This hotelier has now, according to a report on IANS, gone ahead and filed a defamation complaint against the actress. He has charged a defamation case against One Day: Justice Delivered actress Esha Gupta under section 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code through advocate Vikas Pahwa in Saket Court, New Delhi.

Not only prosecution and punishment for the actress under the law, the hotelier has also sought for adequate compensation in his favour. The hearing of this matter will now take place in court on August 28. The court will record pre summoning evidence of the complainant.

"The mental agony caused to the complainant is continuing every day since close friends and colleagues are contacting him and his family on a continuous basis and expressing displeasure over the content posted by the accused," read the plea.

It also mentioned, "many members of the public have been expressing doubts on the integrity and moral character of the complainant believing the false and defamatory statements to be true."

Esha Gupta had started a thread on Twitter and posted videos as her Instagram story. Her tweets read as:

"If a woman like me can feel violated and unsafe in the county, then idk what girls around feel. Even with two securities around I felt getting raped.. #RohitVig you’re a swine.. he deserves to rot."
