'I love remixes', Raveena Tandon gives thumbs up to recreated versions of 'Sheher Ki Ladki' and 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani'
July 22 (AZINS) Raveena Tandon recently did a cameo in the recreated version of 'Sheher Ki Ladki' for Khandaani Shafakhana with Suniel Shetty. The latest song was picturised on Diana Penty and rapper Badshah, while the original stars appeared for a short period of time to shake a leg with them. The original song was in the film Rakshak released in 1996, and it was a chartbuster hit back then also. Though many are against the songs being recreated, Raveena has no issues with it.

Talking about the same, she stated to HT Cafe, "I anyway love any song that Badshah makes. When I was told he and Tulsi Kumar; are singing it, I knew it was going to be a hit again. I did a 2-minute shot for the new version and it is now among the most-watched songs online. These things make me thank god, that whatever hard work I did in my career has paid off."

Another song of Raveena is set to be recreated in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi. Yes, we are talking about 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' which will be picturised on Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Khiladi of Bollywood had tweeted, "I would’ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would’ve recreated 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani,' a song which has been synonymous with me & my career & I can’t thank Ratan Jain Ji enough. At times like these you realize, we may have come a long way but we also go back a long way."

When Raveena was asked about Akshay not mentioning her in the tweet and the song, she replied, "I haven’t seen it, or read about this tweet. But I love remixes! A good and peppy update [to the song] will be great."

She concluded by saying, "Everyone has to give way to the new and be open-minded. Some people like the classics the way they are while some like the new version. Today’s era is about updating. I am all for recreations, I love them."
