'The Lion King' Box Office Report Day 5: Live-in action film nears Rs 70 crore markAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
July 24 (AZINS) Photorealistic computer-animated musical film The Lion King has been quite a pleasant surprise at the Box Office. The movie is expected to turn the second highest Hollywood film release in India after Avengers: Endgame. In fact the movie is performing even better than Hrithik Roshan's recent release Super 30.
The Lion King, despite being a Hollywood flick, has beaten Super 30 on all five-day collections. After witnessing some drop on Monday (by almost 30%), The Lion King is steady at the Box Office. It minted Rs. 7.75 crore on Monday, followed by earning Rs. 7 crore on Tuesday. It has thus earned a total of approximately Rs. 68.75 crore, nearing Rs. 70 crore mark.

The Lion King is directed by Jon Favreau and stars namely Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones have given voiceovers to the characters.
Talking about the Hindi version, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Sanjay Mishra, Shreyas Talpade, Ashish Vidhyarthi and Asrani among others were roped in to dub the film in the language.
