July 26 (AZINS) Akshay Kumar surprised his fans on Friday by announcing his new film titled Bachchan Pandey. He unveiled the first look of the film on his social media pages and it's kickass, to say the least. The film will be helmed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Talking about Bachchan Pandey, the source had said to Pinkvilla, "Sajid and Akshay are best friends. They were planning to do another film and it was then that Farhad Samji came up with LOL Land OF Lungi. That film isn't happening with Akshay but he is doing another project, that will be directed by Farhad and produced by Sajid."

An interesting fact is that Bachchan Pandey is releasing on Christmas 2020. Which means Akshay's film is likely to clash with Aamir Khan's Forrest Gump remake Laal Singh Chaddha. Moreover, it can even lock horns with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Luv Ranjan film. While announcing Bachchan Pandey, Akshay had written, "Coming on Christmas 2020! ?In & As #BachchanPandey ?In #SajidNadiadwala’s Next, directed by @farhadsamji ?@nadiadwalagrandson @wardakhannadiadwala"

Meanwhile, the source had also said to the entertainment portal, "It's entertaining and extremely massy. Akshay has recently shot for the film's poster too. While there are many social dramas he's known for, this will be in a completely Rowdy Rathore space. It's a fun potboiler where Akki will playing to the plexes."

Well, we have to wait and watch to see if any of these films avoid a clash at the box office or not.
