'Have managed to fulfil my wife Sridevi's dream', Boney Kapoor on 'Nerkonda Paarvai's' Singapore premiere
Aug 6 (AZINS) Producer Boney Kapoor has made his Tamil movie debut by producing Nerkonda Paarvai, which is the remake of Hindi hit film Pink released in 2016. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in the leading roles. Nerkonda Paarvai also stars Vidya Balan in a special appearance opposite Ajith. It is helmed by H. Vinoth and is set to hit the screens on August 8, 2019.

Earlier today, Boney took to his Twitter page and announced that Nerkonda Paarvai will be premiere in Singapore which was one of the dreams of his late wife and legendary actor Sridevi. The producer tweeted, "I am truly blessed 9 am IST today Premiere Show of @nerkondapaarvai will start in Singapore. I have managed to fulfil my wife Sridevi Kapoor’s dream. It couldn’t have been possible without the support of #AjithKumar #HVinoth, entire cast & technicians. I shall always cherish this"

Meanwhile, besides playing a lawyer in Nerkonda Paarvai, Ajith who reprises Amitabh Bachchan’s character from Pink will be doing a few kickass action sequences too.

Earlier while talking about remaking films, Boney stated to The Hindu, "The thrust of film-making was on the subject. It brought a freshness. The films were far more daring. For instance, a Sigappu Rojakkal could not be attempted in Hindi."

He added, "When doing a remake, you’re on the safer territory. You know you cannot go absolutely wrong. But how right it goes depends on various factors like casting and the way you adapt the film."
