Rakul Preet Singh on working with senior actors like Ajay Devgn, Nagarjuna: 'I look at my character, not age difference'Author : AZIndia News Desk
Aug 7 (AZINS) Rakul Preet Singh is busy juggling between her films in Bollywood as well as those down South. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Manmadhudu 2. Rakul stars along side veteran actor Nagarjuna in the film. She's fresh off the success of her last Bollywood release De De Pyaar De.
While Manmadhudu 2 has her paired opposite a 59-year-old Nagarjuna, De De Pyar De saw her sharing the screen with 50-year-old Ajay Devgn. When quizzed about the age difference between her and her male co-stars in her recent films, Rakul Preet Singh told The New Indian Expess.com in an interview that working with senior actors isn't something that's new in Telugu cinema. She urged the people to change their mindsets instead.
The actress was quoted as saying, “When I was offered films, opposite senior heroes, I will see that my character had a space that was significant in the film and doesn’t think about the age difference and other aspects."
She further added, "Instead of playing a character that has been reduced to a caricature in a young actor’s film, why not take up a substantial role alongside a senior hero?”
On the work front, after Manmadhudu 2, Rakul will be seen in Shankar and Kamal Haasan's action film Bharateeyudu 2. She will also be seen sharing the screen with her Aiyaary co-star Sidharth Malhotra in Marjaavan.
