Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's streak of flops might just continue with Jabariya Jodi, if early estimates of the film are anything to go by

The makers of Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra starrer postponed the release of their film citing they wanted to 'avoid the clutter'. It however appears that the decision has also not worked out in their favour, since the film has opened to disastrous numbers.

According to a report on Box Office India, the movie had a poor opening of only 8-10%. This marks an opening worse than Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya, which released in theatres on July 26. Jabariya Jodi is not expected to see much miracle over the weekend either.

The morning numbers of the movie are expected to be somewhere around 2.50 crore, which is expected to only push the number to 3 crore by the evening. Jabariya Jodi Box Office collections can currently only be saved if there is some miracle, which also looks unlikely, considering the audiences have other options in movie (like Hobbs and Shaw) to look forward to.

Not only Jabariya Jodi, even other releases like Chicken Law Curry, Mushkil and Pranaam were a disaster considering they opened to empty houses. Hobbs and Shaw, which is presented by makers of Fast & The Furious, has managed to mint Rs. 30 crore already, leaving limited scope for other movies.
