Akshay Kumar's latest release Mission Mangal has been breaking records ever since it released. It made a record on the day of its release. The movie turned out to be Akshay Kumar's highest ever opening film, and now, it might just be set to make a new record.

Mission Mangal, starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles, kept its pace and showed excellent growth even on its first Saturday. The movie's Box Office collections grew by 35% from its Friday collections.

A report on Box Office India goes on to claim that Mission Mangal, which has crossed Rs. 70 crore mark within three days of its release, could also cross Rs. 100 crore mark if the pace of the film continues. According to this report, the movie, which was performing slow in Delhi and East Punjab, also showed 40-45% growth in business there, which has taken the Box Office numbers to a new high.

If the pace of the movie continues, then it would be no surprise if Mission Mangal goes on to mint Rs. 100 crore within four days. If not the 100 crore mark, this report goes on to claim that the movie is likely to earn Rs. 95 crore by its first (extended) weekend, which is also a huge achievement in itself.

Jagan Shakti directorial Mission Mangal released alongside John Abraham-Mrunali Thakur starrer Batla House on Independence Day. While Mission Mangal goes on to make newer records, Batla House has an average perfromance so far.
