Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen in Anurag Basu's anthology which also stars several Bollywood actors including Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi in the leading roles. AB shot for the film in Mumbai and Kolkata while his look from the sets was leaked a few months back. Earlier it was reported that Abhishek will not have any female lead opposite him, but seems like that's not the case anymore.

As per reports in The Times of India, Pavitra Rishta actor Asha Negi has been roped in to play the lead opposite Abhishek in Anurag's film. Not much of the details about her role and look have been revealed yet. Earlier talking about no female for Abhishek, a source had told DNA After Hrs, "Abhishek doesn’t have a heroine opposite him in the film. In fact, his is the only segment in the anthology that doesn’t have a romantic angle."

Speaking about his role in the film, a source told us, "Abhishek plays a local goon. Hence, he has this look throughout the film. The plot revolves around his backstory, which is quite emotional."

While Anurag told about the film to PTI stating, "I am extremely happy to have found this talented new generation cast, though I will trust my old friend Pritam for music as always."

On the other hand, producer Bhushan Kumar told the media agency, "The characters, the story is so compelling yet the treatment is so amusing. We have tried to bring on board a terrific cast who perfectly fit the roles that are written."
