'Batla House' Box Office Report Day 17: John Abraham-Mrunal Thakur starrer crosses Rs 95 crore mark
Batla House starring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, released on Independence Day alongside Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi starrer Mission Mangal. While Mission Mangal made wonders at the Box Office, Batla House took time to catch up.

John Abraham's Batla House completed 17 days at the Box Office before it could reach Rs. 95 crore mark. The movie, which is a hit, might end its lifetime run probably at Rs. 100 crore or less, especially after Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho has been giving both Mission Mangal and Batla House competition.

Much like Mission Mangal, a report on Business Today goes on to claim that Batla House also earned Rs. 2 crore on its third Saturday. Thus the total collections of the film till day 17 have reached up to Rs. 95 crore approx. The movie picked up well, since it minted only Rs. 50 lakh on its third Friday.

Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani, is based on the real life encounter case which took place in Delhi's Batla House on September 19, 2008. The movie also features Dilbar famed Nora Fatehi alongside Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur. Batla House was made on a budget of Rs. 45 crore.
