'Batla House' Box Office Report Day 18: John Abraham's film might end lifetime run in range of 'Luka Chuppi', 'Badla'Author : AZIndia News Desk
John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House has been liked by a certain section of people, and hence, after a little dry spell, the movie picked up pace in front of Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi starrer Mission Mangal. However Batla House now has competition from Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho.
Saaho, which released on August 30, has been a major competition to both Mission Mangal as well as Batla House. The Independence Day releases are coming to its lifetime run. While the Akshay Kumar starrer seems to be challenging his 2.0 Box Office record, Batla House still struggles to keep pace.
After a dull third Friday, when the movie minted only Rs. 60 lakhs, John Abraham's Batla House took pace over the weekend. While it earned Rs. 1.10 crore on Saturday, the movie went on to make business of Rs. 1.60 crore on Sunday, according to Box Office India. The boost over the weekend of Rs. 3.30 crore helped the film breeze closer to Rs. 85 crore mark net.
Batla House went on to earn Rs. 84.06 crore till date. The movie's lifetime business, thus, might fall in category of Luka Chuppi, which minted Rs. 88.50 crore, and Badla, which went on to earn Rs. 87.56 crore at the Box Office. Not only Rs. 100 crore net, even Rs. 90 crore net is a far-fetched dream for Batla House. Not withstanding, the movie is a hit at the Box Office.
Here's a breakup of Batla House collections till date:
