'Saaho' Box Office: Prabhas' film fails to beat Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh' to become highest grosser on first Monday
Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho benefitted a lot due to solo release on August 30. The movie almost put a full stop to Box Office numbers of Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal and John Abraham starrer Batla House with its amazing run at the Box Office on opening day and opening weekend.

However come Monday and Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor's Saaho, despite having the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday, failed to make new records. It ended up in top 10 grossing film of Monday, which was expected out of the film, especially since it was a holiday, but despite the Prabhas mania, Saaho failed to beat records set by Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh.

Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, had minted Rs. 17.05 crore on its first Monday, as per Box Office India. The movie went on to eventually become highest grossing film of 2019.

On the other hand, Saaho, which even had an upper hand with Ganesh Chaturthi festival's holiday, barely came close to numbers of Kabir Singh. Earning Rs. 13.75 crore on its first Monday, Prabhas starrer Saaho failed to beat Kabir Singh by Rs. 3 crore approximately. The movie, however, can boast about beating Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike, which is the second highest grossing film of 2019.

Here are the top 10 grossers on first Monday (2019):

1. Kabir Singh - 17,05,00,000

2. Saaho (Hindi) - 13,75,00,000 apprx (Holiday)

3. Uri: The Surgical Strike - 10,55,00,000

4. Total Dhamaal - 10,04,00,000

5. Bharat - 8,72,00,000
