'Baahubali' helmer SS Rajamouli warned Prabhas about flaws in 'Saaho' but went UNHEARD
One of the most important people behind creating the identity of Prabhas, making him larger-than-life, was SS Rajamouli. Helming Baahubali, SS Rajamouli introduced his 'friend' Prabhas as Mahendra and Amarendra Baahubali in the magnum opus which demanded four years of their lives.

Knwoing that Prabhas and SS Rajamouli share a great bond, it does not come as a surprise that Prabhas took an opinion from Rajamouli from his latest outing Saaho. Fans belived that the director did not watch Saaho. But on the contrary, according to a report on IB Times, SS Rajamouli saw Saaho before the theatrical release.

Not just that, the report stated that Rajamouli had even made some suggestions. The ace director asked Prabhas and Sujeeth to trim the length of the film. However his advice went unheard, thus not only backfiring on Prabhas, but also reportedly creating a rift between Prabhas and SS Rajamouli's friendship.

A portal called Great Andhra quoted a source saying, "The whole point of doing an out-and-out killer-thriller antithetical in content, tone and mood to Baahubali was to prove that it was not only Rajamouli but also Prabhas who made Baahubali the historic hit it was."

The source added, "By signing a relatively new director (Sujeeth Reddy) and working shoulder to shoulder with the youngster, Prabhas hoped to recreate the Baahubali hysteria without Rajamouli thereby proving he was no flash-in-the-pan superstar. Sadly the effort not only backfired but it also alienated Rajamouli."
