Tahir Raj Bhasin, who is gearing up for his next release, Chhichhore, smoked 200 packets of green-tea cigarettes to prepare for his role. The actor is playing the role of a sports champion Derek in the film. He will be shown as a chain smoker and the production team had to come up with a solution for Tahir, who is a complete non-smoker!

The Mardaani actor talked about this practice and said, “I have always been extremely health-conscious and I have never smoked and don’t encourage the habit. However, I had to play the part onscreen and look extremely convincing. I needed a solution and the art department came up with a brilliant idea. They repackaged 200 packets of cigarettes with organic green tea and basil which when smoked looks exactly like cigarette smoke on screen. Basically, all the tobacco was replaced to create herbal cigarettes!”
