Chandrayaan 2: Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor and other Bollywood celebs get emotional over ISRO's moon missionAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
India was witness to yet another milestone on the mid-night of September 7, 2019. Indian Space Research Organization aka ISRO launched Chandrayaan-2 into the moon. The mission was 95% complete, with only 5% of the mission lost in Vikram the lander and Pragyaan the rover.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had given a go-ahead to the mission, addressed the scientists of ISRO at 8 am on September 7, 2019. He consoled ISRO chief K Sivan post the meeting, where the latter broke after the technical glitch in Vikram, and eventually even Pragyaan.
Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter in hopes of boosting the morale of the ISRO, who worked hard towards the mission. From Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor to Sunny Deol, various celebrities got emotional while talking about the mission.
Here, take a look at their tweets:
Sometimes we don’t land or arrive at the destination we want to. The important thing is we took off and had the Hope and Belief we can. Our current situation is never and not our final destination. That always comes in time and belief! Proud of #ISRO

The Vikram lander was planned to land on the far side of the moon between 1:30 am to 2:30 am on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. This would have been followed by rover (Pragyan) roll-out between 5:30 am to 6:30 am. After revolving around the Earth's orbit for nearly 23 days, the craft began its journey to the moon on August 14.
