'Saaho' Box Office report day 8: Could be 2019's 4th highest-grossing film after 'Kabir Singh', 'Uri' & 'Mission Mangal'Author : AZIndia News Desk
Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho released in theatres on August 30. The film managed to weaken the collections of Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer Mission Mangal and John Abraham's film Batla House, both an Independence Day release, to some extent.
Having a wider release, Saaho has been a tough competition to Shraddha Kapoor's latest outing with Sushant Singh Rajput, Chhichhore, too. In its first week, Saaho's Hindi version minted Rs. 115 crore. The movie was released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam version too. Considering Prabhas is an established name in the Telugu industry, most Box collections of the movie have come in from there.
After its first week on Thursday with earning of Rs. 6.50 crore, Saaho, that saw a drop of 45%, went on to mint Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday. The movie failed to work in huge multiplexes and the fall was 30-35% in UP, Gujarat and Central India.
The movie, being a hit in India, currently falls in the range of Super 30, Total Dhamaal and Kesari. In fact, Saaho is expected to cross all the three films in order to become the fourth-highest (Hindi) grossing film of 2019. Currently, Kabir Singh is leading the race, followed by Uri: The Surgical Strike.
