'Chhichhore' report day 1: Sushant Singh Rajput-Shraddha's film has better Box Office opening than 'Kedarnath'Sushant Singh Rajput-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore, which released in theatres on September 6 i.e. exactly a week after Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho, was expected to suffer at the hands of the grand scale of Sujeeth directorial. However, despite having a poor start, Chhichhore Box Office collections kicked off over the evening and night shows.

Chhichhore, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles with Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Nalneesh Neel in pivotal roles, is one of the few films which work with word-of-mouth. By the end of its opening day, the movie minted Rs. 7.32 crore.

Chhichhore, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has thus crossed the opening day collections of Sushant's 2018 release Kedarnath, thus making Chhichhore his second-highest-grossing film till date. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story remains his highest-grossing film so far. In fact, Chhichhore weekend collections might turn out to be a surprise.

Confirming the same, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Chhichhore goes from strength to strength on Day 1... Witnessed a big turnaround in evening and night shows... Word of mouth has come into play, which will translate into solid growth on Day 2 and 3... Weekend biz is sure to spring a big surprise... Fri ? 7.32 cr. #India biz."
