Sonali Bendre has been an inspiration as she successfully won the battle against cancer earlier this year. It's been a year since the actor revealed on social media that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastised. For a very long time, Sonali stayed in New York for her treatment and her family, close friends supported and prayed for the actor throughout. One of her strongest pillars was her son Ranveer Behl and Sonali spoke about it as well.

On Friday, the actor took to her Instagram page and shared a cute photo with Ranveer. In the picture, both mom and son are seen striking a similar pose. Sonali captioned the post stating, "Like ??? like ???? @rockbehl #FlashbackFriday". Well, they do make for an adorable mother-son duo.

Earlier, on the occasion of Ranveer's 14th birthday, Sonali had wished him by sharing a photo of kissing him on his cheek. She wrote, "Happy happy birthday @rockbehl! Yes, the time has come when you're soon going to be awkward with any kind of public displays of affection from your mother so I'm going to milk it for as long as I can! Happy 14th my baby boy! Love you loads".

On July 4, 2019, Sonali shared a photo of her 'new normal' as it has been a year since she announced about her cancer. She wrote, "It's been a year... I can't tell you how instrumental YOU ALL have been... Thank you for helping me get through this and for helping me #SwitchOnTheSunshine #Gratitude #BeFearless #OneDayAtATime #MyNewNormal"
