Surveen Chawla, though a well known television celebrity hit some roadblocks during her acting career in films. The actress revealed she has been criticised for being over exposed and overweight. She recently in an interview with an entertainment portal opened up about her career, trolls and recalled horrific casting couch incidents in her career.

During a video interview with Pinkvilla the actress opened up about 5 occasion where she faced casting couch. She revealed, “A director wanted to see how my cleavage looked. Another director wanted to see how my thighs looked.” Sharing another incident of casting couch in th South film industries, Surveen added, “I was asked to accompany a director for a recce and he said to me, ‘Ma’am, I want to know every inch of your body.’ I could not believe my ears as to what I am hearing.”

She also talked about an incident where she was called overweight when she only weighed 56 kgs. “I went to give this audition and the person told me, ‘You are overweight’. I was just 56 kilos and I thought the person needed to get his eyes checked.”

Another filmmaker also claimed she was ‘over-exposed’ because her years of work on television “For sometime, I tried to hide it from producers and tell them I did TV only for a year but I realised later that ‘Why am I doing this?’ Isn’t it going to be easier for a team to get someone who already knows how to do their lines?,” she added.

Surveen was last seen in Sacred Games along side Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Jojo Mascarenas through out the two seasons of the Netflix Original series.
