Will surely work with Sajid Khan if he is acquitted in #MeToo case: Akshay Kumar
After a long wait, Akshay Kumar finally unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Housefull 4. For the uninitiated, the movie was stalled for some time, and it faced a director change mid-way. Housefull director Sajid Khan had rejoined the cast for Housefull 4.

However, in the middle of shooting, Sajid got accused under #MeToo. He had four girls accusing him of sexual misconduct. Following the incident, Akshay Kumar sacked the director out of the project. The shooting of the film was stalled for a few days, till they found a new director in Housefull 3 helmer Farhad Samji.

Akshay has previously worked with Sajid Khan in Housefull and Heyy Babyy. The actor went on to mention that he is open to working with the director again, provided he is acquitted of #MeToo. "I don't know exactly what has happened in his case but if everything goes well and if he is acquitted, I will surely work with him in the future," Akshay Kumar told IANS.

Before Sajid stepped down, 60% of Housefull 4 was already shot. It thus remains a mystery whether Sajid Khan's name will be involved with the film in any capacity. When asked about the same, Akshay stated, "It is true that he has directed 60 per cent of the film but this call has been taken by the studio (Fox Star)."

There have been a lot of changes in the way a production house works, especially after #MeToo rise in India. Akshay, in conclusion, said, "There have been a lot of changes. I think every other production company which I know -- even in Sajid Nadiadwala's company nowadays -- there is a officer who deals with sexual harassment cases. They make sure that nothing goes wrong. They are there to accept complaints and they know everything what is happening. There is a lot of security. We don't want any misbehaviour in our company or film sets."
