'Toofan' First Look: Farhan Akhtar throws an uppercut punch in the new poster, announces release date
Farhan Akhtar has teamed up with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the second time after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The multitalented actor will be seen playing the role of a boxer in Toofan and started shooting for the film about a month back. The actor had written on his Instagram page, "Day 1. #ToofanInTheMaking #nerves #excitement #cinemagic #lovemyjob". Earlier while prepping for the film, Farhan shared his thoughts on Instagram stating, "If you want to do your best, you need the best to guide and teach you. Privileged to have @darrellfoster, the man who choreographed #Ali & #BleedForThis take the boxing bouts in #Toofan to a whole other level."

Now the first look of Toofan is out and it shows Farhan in the boxing ring packing a punch. The poster shows him flaunting his ripped body, frizzy curly hair and doing the action of an uppercut. He captioned the post by writing, "Toofan Uthega!! FIRST LOOK! #TOOFAN releasing 2nd October 2020!! @rakeyshommehra @ritesh_sid @mrunalofficial2016 #PareshRawal @shankarehsaanloy @excelmovies @romppictures @vjymaurya @zeemusiccompany #AnjumRajabali #JavedAkhtar #AAfilms @drewnealpt @samir_jaura @darrellfoster"

Toofan also stars Paresh Rawal in the supporting role and Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The film is set to hit the screens on October 2, 2020.

Interestingly, it will be clashing with John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2.

Unlike Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the upcoming sports drama would not be a biopic but a fictional story. The moment the film was announced Farhan started prepping for the role immediately.
