Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has been a regular at film festivals, is all set to take his upcoming film to Busan International Film Festival. Titled Roam Rome Mein, the movie marks directorial debut of National-Award winning actor Tannishtha Chatterjee too.
Roam Rome Mein went on floors in 2018, and the movie featuring Nawazuddin in the lead role, is all set to be screened at Busan International Film Festival. Interestingly, the idea of Roam Rome Mein germinated when Nawaz and Tannishtha met during a film festival. This was also the time Chatterjee approached Nawaz to play lead in her film.
"Excited to announce that my movie #RoamRomeMein, is the official selection for #BusanInternationalFilmFestival! The movie also marks the directorial debut of my dear friend @TannishthaC," tweeted Nawaz while making the big announcement.
Roam Rome Mein is produced by Rising Star Entertainment, Eros International, Pankaj Razdaz and Ravi Walia. Prior to the movie, Nawaz and Chatterjee had collaborated for Garth Davis’s Lion (2016), Mangesh Hadawale’s Dekh Indian Circus (2011) and Amit Kumar’s Monsoon Shootout (2017). Co-incidentally, both the actors won a National Award (Special Mention) for Dekh Indian Circus.
