'War' Box Office Report Day 5: Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff's film records highest Sunday of 2019; crosses Rs 150 croreAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
There's nothing that will stop Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War to become one of the biggest hits of 2019. On its opening day, the film minted Rs 51 crore approx and created eight new records at the box office. According to Box Office India, his earlier first-day breaking records include Mission Kashmir (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Agneepath (2012) and Krrish (2013). This film also broke the opening record of Tiger as well.
Now, the collections for the extended weekend are out and War has crossed Rs 150 crore mark. On Sunday, it recorded the highest Sunday of the year by minting Rs 36 crore. War entered Rs 100 crore club within four days of its release and is likely to enter Rs 200 crore before this week ends.

On receiving compliments for his salt-and-pepper look in War, Hrithik told DNA After Hrs, "Kabir (his character) goes beyond the looks. There is a certain mystery to him that makes him more attractive. The best compliment for me about this character is the acceptance of making him look older and more mature on-screen, which it required."
War is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner Yash Raj Films.
