We had necessary rights: Badshah responds to Dr Zeus' accusation on 'Bala' makers for remaking 'Don't Be Shy'
Bala's first song Don't Be Shy was unveiled a few days back. The video features lead actors Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam along with rap artist and singer of the recreated version, Badshah. While releasing the song, the makers called it composition by Sachin-Jigar.

However the song was originally composed by Dr. Zeus and taking credit for his hit song irked Zeus. He accused the makers of recreating his song without permission and also questioned Sachin-Jigar about when did the song become their composition.

While Sachin-Jigar have not responded to Dr. Zeus, Badshah, who is one of the faces of the video, took to Twitter in order to clarify about the situation. Clearing that Badshah holds respect for Dr. Zeus who is his senior and thus wishes to not make the situation dirty, the rap artist tweeted, “I am aware of the situation around Dont Be Shy. I want to start by saying that I love and respect @drzeusworld paaji immensely and he knows it. He has the right to get angry with me because he’s my senior and I’ve learnt a lot from him. And he is the last person I’d want to go through something like this.”

He also added that there is some misunderstanding. “I got on the song, which has been recreated by my dear friends Sachin-Jigar, only after making sure we had the necessary rights. But still if there’s any misunderstanding, I’ll make sure it gets cleared ASAP. I support Zeus Paaji,” stated Badshah.

Taking to Twitter, Dr Zeus had previously written, "Are u guys taking the piss @sonymusicindia @MaddockFilms @Its_Badshah @SonyMusicUK @SachinJigarLive wen did u compose don’t b shy & kangna.. more to the point how dare u guys b riding off ma old hits & fuckin them up??? Ya need to get original. My lawyers will b in touch"

Apart from the given accusation, Bala was also in controversy owing to similar story with Sunny Singh starrer Udja Chaman, which also revolves around the life of a balding man.
