Ever since Deepika Padukone announced that she would play acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in her next film after Padmaavat, fans have been eagerly waiting for the trailer of the film to launch.

In response to it, after teasing the trailer yesterday, the trailer for Chhapaak was out today. As soon as it launched the trailer received world-class reviews with people lauding the story and especially Deepika's performance which is sure to send a chill down your spine.

Apart from her fans, the film's trailer earned he positive review of Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel who herself is an acid attack survivor.

As soon as the trailer launched, Rangoli posted on her official Twitter account praising Deepika and the film. She said, "Wow!!! Everyone should see this film, amazing... Meghna and Deepika will earn a lot of tears from this film, what my family and I went through along with the prejudice we faced was worse than death... the story of an acid attack survivor need to reach this nation, praying that it works."

Even Deepika while talking about the trailer launch event today, broke down in tears and said, "Rarely do you come across a story where you have to sit through an entire narration, usually you have to sit the entire process and then think whether you want to do a film or not. It's not often when you come across a story where you know instantly in the first few minutes after meeting a director that this is what you want to commit your life to and Chhapaak is that for me."

Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey in a quintessential role and is all set to release on January 10, 2020.
