Priyadarshan announced the sequel to his 2003 hit film Hungama, a few days back. In the film, apart from Paresh Rawal, no one from the original cast will be seen. In Hungama 2, the lead actors are Meezaan Jaaferi, Pranitha Subhash and also Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who is paired opposite Paresh. Talking about the project, Priyadarshan had earlier told Bollywood Hungama, "Hungama 2 will be as clean and family-oriented as all my comedies."

Now Shilpa took to her Instagram page and shared the first poster of Hungama 2. In the poster, Meezaan and Pranitha are seen posing together while he is being poked by Shilpa, who is with Paresh and he is giving a tensed look. Shilpa posted the first look with a caption stating, "Super happy to be a part of the reboot of everyone’s favourite comedy entertainer #Hungama2! Grateful to be working again with Ratanji who introduced me to this industry... and this is the first time I’ll be working with the maverick Priyadarshan Sir who has always been my bucket list."

She further wrote, "Can’t wait to dive into this fun journey with Pareshji and the entire cast. Get ready for Confusion Unlimited... releases on 14th Aug, 2020! #Priyadarshan #PareshRawal #RatanJain @meezaanj @pranitha.insta @venusmovies @hungama2film"

Priyadarshan also told the tabloid, "It will be a fresh story. We decided to title the new comedy Hungama 2 because the mood of Masti, mischief and Hungama remain unchanged."

Hungama 2 is releasing on August 14, 2020.
