Within eight days of its release, Good Newwz has already reached close to Rs 150 crore mark. The movie received the benefit of New Year and when other movies witness a drop, Good Newwz saw huge growth, helping the movie cross Rs 100 crore mark within six days of its release.

The Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani starrer will now earn Rs. 150 crore by the end of the day. Good Newwz has already minted Rs. 147.70 crore so far, after earning Rs. 11.70 crore on Saturday. The movie had earned Rs. 8.10 crore on Friday.

Tweeting about the same, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#GoodNewwz continues its dream run... Biz jumps yet again on [second] Sat... North circuits outstanding... Nears ? 150 cr... Has a strong chance of hitting ? 200 cr... [Week 2] Fri 8.10 cr, Sat 11.70 cr. Total: ? 147.70 cr. #India biz."

The growth which Good Newwz saw, was expected out of Salman Khan's Dabangg 3, which was a Christmas 2019 release. Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani's film will face competition from Deepika Padukone-Vikrant Massey's Chhapaak and Ajay Devgn, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan starring Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Both the movies are slated for January 10, 2020 release.
