'Chhapaak' Box Office Report Day 4: Deepika Padukone's film witnesses 55% drop than opening dayAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey starrer Chhapaak is struggling to mint money at the box office. The film opened to Rs 4.50 crore on the day of its release and continued to show only a minimal growth over the first weekend. Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar and also marks Deepika's first outing as a film producer. In the film, DP is seen as Malti, an acid attack survivor.
Now, the first Monday collections of Chhapaak is out and it witnessed a 55% drop than the opening day. The film made about Rs 2 crore on the fourth day of the release. Chhapaak is likely to get rejected if it doesn't show growth in the next two days due to holidays.

Meanwhile, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Chhapaak slips on Day 4... Biz is limited to a few premium multiplexes of urban centres... Continues to non-perform at Tier-2 and 3 cities and also mass belt... Fri 4.77 cr, Sat 6.90 cr, Sun 7.35 cr, Mon 2.35 cr. Total: ? 21.37 cr. #India biz."
Moreover, Chhapaak caught up in a controversy as Deepika visited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after attacks took place on January 5, 2020.
